Traffic movement will remain suspended on Wednesday on the Srinagar-Jammu national highway in view of weekly maintenance and repair work.
A traffic police official told UNI this evening that in view of the maintenance of the highway, no vehicle will be allowed from Srinagar or Jammu on Wednesday on the only all weather road connecting Kashmir valley with the rest of the country.
He said the Union Territory (UT) administration has decided to allow National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) to undertake necessary maintenance and repair work of the road on every Wednesday. The highway remained closed for about two days due to landslides at Magarkote and Samroli recently.
